The Playscape Child Care Center

The Playscape is a state licensed child care center that provides educational programming for children of all abilities ages 1 through 10. Our age appropriate activities are approached with the simple philosophy that The Playscape is "Where Play Leads to Learning".

We provide TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE at The Playscape. Your child will receive an age appropriate preschool / school age program as well as special child care, all for ONE PRICE! Along with our educational programs, we also provide meals & snacks, assistance with potty training and specialty programs your child may be involved in (First Steps programming, therapies, etc.).

Our experienced child care team of teachers ensures that physical, social, emotional, and creative growth are met by encouraging thinking and reasoning skills. We provide children the opportunities to develop these skills through literacy, math, science and discovery. They gain independence through music, art, and movement activities in small and large groups.

Our three outdoor classrooms, consisting of bike paths with tricycles, large play structure with slides and climbing rock wall, swings, imaginative play houses, stationary jeep, push toys, parachutes, ball activities and more provide a variety gross motor activities for children of all ages and abilities. Our environment is ADA accessible, including our play structure, mulch, paint easels and sand & water tables.

Ever in a pinch and need last minute child care?? The Playscape provides Emergency Child Care for children based on availability and pre-enrollment in our emergency care program.

To better serve our families, The Playscape has teamed up with Rensselaer School Corporation and Jasper County Community Services to assist with transportation for our school-age children. RCSC provides school-age transportation to and from The Playscape. JCCS can be contracted by the parents to provide mid-day Kindergarten transportation also.

The Playscape strives to collaborate with other community agencies to best serve our children. We receive professional training and supports from ConneXions Child Care Resource & Referral as well as Cooperative School Services and Purdue Extension Services. We provide practicum experiences for students from Saint Joseph's College and Ivy Tech. Our partnership with Step Ahead for Healthier Families in Jasper County offers opportunities to network with other agencies to strengthen our resources in our community. Jasper County REMC and Jasper Foundation have also provided monetary supports through grants to enhance our educational environment. Most importantly, our community leaders, CDC Board of Directors, parents, and friends of The Playscape have all helped to provide the necessary supports we need to be successful.
