CDC’s Board of Directors saw a need to develop new ventures in our rural service area that offered to make us less dependent on government funds, create additional jobs and training opportunities for people with disabilities and meet community needs. In 1999, the agency opened up the Monticello Thrift Store -- now located just off of North Sixth Street on Norway Road.

Jasper Junction
219/866-0020
Hours:
     Everyday: 10 am – 6 pm

In 2005, Jasper Junction was opened 5 miles north of Rensselaer at the intersection of SR 231 and SR 114. This facility has enough space in the former Weinberg’s to have both a Thrift Store and Booth Mall where some 80 booths sell a huge variety of items ranging from collectables to antiques, furniture and flea market treasures. Jasper Junction also has a concession that offers up tasty meals and light fare.

For both businesses, CDC is deeply indebted to the surrounding community residents who donate quality clothes, furniture and knick-knacks to the agency. Your support is greatly appreciated in helping us maintain quality programs and also contributes to recycling efforts.
