With an estimate of close to 4″ of rain dumped in the matter of a couple days, many counties that CDC serves is seeing the effects. Rensselaer Day Services has had to be closed due to high water and flooding at that branch. Maintenance Manager Randy Robbins took these pictures that capture the gravity of just how much rain fell. Robbins and Paige Epley, a SLS North Lead, worked hard to move all of CDC’s vehicles out of the flooded parking lot this week.
Emergency Crews have been working around the clock to help rescue residents along the Tippecanoe River, especially around Horseshoe Bend, Tecumseh Bend according to the Herald Journal. With more rainfall in the forecast tonight and tomorrow, residents could be out of their homes through the weekend.
